Although I did not enjoy this book quite so much as RoadTo Mandalay and The Saffron Trail, it was still a good and captivating story. Well written and very well read. I would recommend this book and the two above.

Couldn’t put it down, beautiful descriptive prose. Really wanted to know the end but sorry now that I have finished it. Will certainly read it again. Rosanna Ley presented a difficult and emotive subject with sensitive authority.

It took a while to get used to the narrator who I found overdramatic. The voices she used for the women in the story all seemed to be weirdly and annoyingly high pitched.
Story is very good tho.
