I loved Adam Kay’s previous books, but I could not finish this one. Being an NHS clinician myself I laughed in places, but the story line was too crazy and I struggled to sympathise with privileged cocaine snorting Ethan in his life struggles. The annoyingly sounding narrator was the famous final nail in the coffin. I genuinely do not care who the killer was.

Brilliantly narrated but disappointing content. Guessed the culprit very early on. Gratuitous swearing and sexual references that didn’t add to the story.

Probably the best ‘marriage’ between novel/narrator I’ve listened to yet. Hilarious and re-listened to many scenes more than once

Some aspects were a bit far fetched but that can be dark comedy. Would still recommend it if you love Adam Kay
