The author decided to put so many side stories in this that I’d imagine almost half of the book is one. To my mind a side story is optional slice of life stories that can be skipped but if you do so in this book you’d miss out on a lot of the story. I know it was important to have some backstory of MC done, but I would maybe have done so through suggestion rather than interrupting the current plot so much. Side story here is pretty mandatory and it makes me wonder if the author would rather have written about the past rather than focusing on the current story. The story is still nice, so there is that, even if I feel like her motivations are that she “has to” do what the author currently think is important. As I said, nice story, more please and I’d rather have less side stories.
