Despite Russian officials presenting a facade of economic stability at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, Ukrainian long-range strikes have triggered significant fuel shortages across occupied Ukraine and several Russian oblasts, contradicting the Kremlin's narrative of resilience. In occupied territories, Russian authorities are intensifying the deportation and illegal adoption of Ukrainian children while accelerating youth militarization through programs like Yunarmia to entrench long-term sociocultural control. Concurrently, the Iraqi government is attempting to disarm and integrate Iranian-backed militias into state security institutions, a process that risks further embedding Iranian influence if the militias' underlying networks and allegiances are not properly addressed.
