Undercover police arrested six offenders aged 14 to 22 at a Truganina petrol station, ending a five-day crime spree across Melbourne's western suburbs. The group is accused of carrying out terrifying home invasions in Lalor, Tarneit and Truganina, during which they stole vehicles, drained victims' bank accounts of approximately $1,000, and in one incident ate food from a family's fridge while they slept. At least three of the charged offenders have been released on bail, leaving traumatised families feeling unsafe in their homes.
