It’s okay to cry. It’s okay to ask for help. And it’s okay to go to therapy, even when you’re happy.
In this episode of The Greaterverse, Anne-Marie Kruk is joined by Shreeya Giri, founder of Happy Minds, a mental health organisation transforming access to care across Nepal.
After experiencing her own struggles while living in London during the pandemic, Shreeya returned home to Nepal determined to rebuild a system that felt accessible, affordable and culturally relevant. Four and a half years later, Happy Minds now operates across 29 countries, supporting Nepali communities wherever they are in the world, through therapy, awareness campaigns and corporate partnerships while actively dismantling stigma around what mental health really means.
If you’ve ever struggled to articulate how you feel, questioned whether therapy is “for you,” or wondered what it takes to change systems from the inside out this conversation will stay with you.
In this conversation, you will learn:
Why mental health is about far more than depression and anxiety
How culture shapes the way we understand and access therapy
What it takes to reduce stigma and build psychological safety in communities
The realities of leading a mission-driven organisation as a young female founder
Why mental health support isn’t only for moments of crisis
What it truly means to create a world with good mental health
