I felt a mix of emotions listening this book. I will follow this author because she did an excellent job. The performance was at the same level of the story. The narrator was amazing. I highly recommend this audiobook. It is totally worthy.

I listened to this through kindle unlimited and whilst it was a very predictable story line right from the beginning it was nice enough to listen to . it was also included in my membership so can not complain .

Dani and her ex-husband faced a difficult time trying to conceive, but the arrival of their daughter Tinsley filled Dani’s world with joy.

Fast forward to Tinsley’s first day of kindergarten. As Dani prepared to pick her up, she couldn’t find her anywhere. All she knew was someone who could have been her twin had taken her.

Five years later, Dani was divorced and using her pain as a private investigator to help track down missing children due to a shortage of police resources. She has an eager young assistant Quinn who helped share the workload.

Quinn shared Dani’s passion for finding Tinsley, much to her ex-husband’s dismay. He wanted her to move on.

As they searched for their latest missing young girl named Ali Cross, they struggled to find leads. One day, a 12-year-old boy came into the offices, explaining what he had seen when Ali was taken. Due his background of telling lies the police think he is unreliable, Quinn thinks otherwise.

The urgency to find Ali intensifies, and Dani continues to keep Tinsley’s memory close.

Things escalated further when the captor panicked that there was an eyewitness, and his behaviour spirals
