Crash Dive: The Complete Series chronicles the adventures of Charlie Harrison as he fights the Imperial Japanese Navy during WW2. Gripping, action-packed, authentic, and filled with larger-than-life men and women of the Greatest Generation, Crash Dive puts you aboard a submarine during the war.

You'll stand alongside Charlie as he proves himself time and again by keeping his wits and being decisive in crisis, though each encounter leaves him more heavily scarred for it. You'll attack a convoy in a daring night surface attack, emerge in a sea fog to ambush a battle group, and charge the battleship Yamato during the decisive Battle of Leyte Gulf. All the while, you'll live with the crew in the cramped, noisy, and challenging machine that was a diesel-electric submarine.

Crash Dive: The Complete Series puts together for the first time all six episodes in Craig DiLouie's highly acclaimed historical military fiction series: Crash Dive, Silent Running, Battle Stations, Contact!, Hara-Kiri, and Over the Hill.

This is a fictional but none the less thought provoking novel One can only wonder what ghosts the real sailors had to live with during and after the conflict

Fiction at its best

the characters are so so real, thier deeds were but their bravery unfathomable. you wont regret listening to this, you might even feel a little more human afterwards.

thrilling, deep, brave, human and humbling

this was OK but not remotely comparable to Aubrey Maturin and charlie is one dimensional throughout....which is fairness is a similar fault with Hornblower. Worth listening to as its a rare example of a submariner book....but falls short of a satisfying read

A good tail but ....

I wasn't sure about this series before i started as i usually listen to sci-fi, but oh my god i am so glad i gave it a shot, what an amazing story, so well written and preformed. this series had me on the edge of my seat wanting more, and as for the emotional highs and lows. brilliant just brilliant.

amazing

This book really took me by surprise by how much I enjoyed it. I was expecting a fairly repetative storyline - how much can you honestly vary a story about submarines? A lot apparently!

The characters we well written and likable and I had a genuine interest in seeing them get through the war in the pacific.

R.C. Bray was his usual fantastic self, I will not ever stop loving his narration and he really helped bring the story alive.

I'll definitely be looking up more of Craig DiLouies books, if they're half as good as this one then it will still be well worthy of a listen.

Absolutely fantastic
