Beth Hollis never imagined a future without her twin sister, Andy. But after a tragic accident takes Andy from her, Beth is left shattered, struggling to figure out how to live with a grief that feels impossible to survive.

Then Fia—the woman who was first at the scene of the accident—steps back into Beth’s life.

Steady, compassionate, and undemanding, Fia becomes a lifeline just when Beth needs one most. But as their connection deepens, Beth can’t ignore the painful truth that Fia is tied to the worst moment of her life.

How can Beth open herself up to the woman who makes her feel whole again, when that means facing the loss that broke her apart?

I love E.J.Noyes’ books. They go deeper into emotions than most writers’ stories, wringing out feelings that so many readers/listeners will recognise but rarely come across in lesbian fiction.
Life isn’t all first meetings, u-hauls and happy ever after.
Crash Into You deals with what must be one of the hardest situations in life, and involving identical twins also conveys the bond that is so special between such siblings.
I pre-ordered this, began listening straight away and have just finished it, two days later (annoyingly Life does get in the way, at times).
To admit to shedding occasional tears is no sign of weakness, I feel. It’s more that the writing and the empathic narration combined to move me immensely, and, as with all other titles by E.J. Noyes, will join my “listen again” list.
Quite honestly, though, I’ll need a little while to process the story. I need time to try and comprehend the bond that can exist between identical twins (my own sisters are twins - though fraternal - and have absolutely nothing in common, and never have) and to be reminded of how amidst devastating loss and inevitable change, there is still the chance of something to look forward to and, if very fortunate, to find happiness.

Heart-wrenching but beautiful.
