About this listen

The dead don’t haunt Warlow. The living do.

When a refuse worker discovers the body of media student Nicholas Vernon in a quiet Welsh town, Detective Evan Warlow and his team are drawn into a case that spirals from routine enquiry to nightmare. Behind the whispers and online rumours lies a truth far darker than anyone is ready to face. A truth entangled in macabre obsessions and the plight of the homeless.

With forensic evidence thin on the ground and local loyalties running deep, Warlow must confront both a killer—and a truth about his own mortality he’s long avoided.

A gripping procedural with haunting undertones, this novel will keep you listening late into the night.

Tense, gritty, and impossible to put down, CROSS CUT marks the nineteenth outing from bestselling crime author Rhys Dylan. A must-listen for fans of JD Kirk, Simon McCleave, and Peter Robinson.

As always it’s a joy to meet the gang again. The story kept me guessing until the end and I adore the narrator and his clever voices. I feel like I know the characters. Can’t wait to find out what happens next.

Fabulous

Although I found it hard to sympathise with the victim in this case.(A teen obsessed with the art and practice of inflicting terror on people.) The story was full of people who were secondary victims who did not deserve the fall-out from his actions. The story's twists and turns kept me riveted, yearning to unpick the mystery. Brilliant writing and narration as always.

Another brilliant and captivating story in this excellent series.

Possibly because the concepts didn’t appeal to me, but this one isn’t as good as the last one. As usual the characters make the novel.
Great narration.

Not quite as good as the last
