The prince and the librarian....

Now, I have not finished the story so cannot comment on plot or character development but hope to soon once I have read the book. I’m moving to the written version and am not continuing with the audiobook.
However, my great gripe here is with the narrator. This, I admit, may be a niche issue but alas, I am English (not the issue in itself :)) but I have struggled so much with the English accent in this reading. It’s quite an affected caricature of an English accent, with a mishmash of vowel treatments that no one person would ever have. I really tried to persevere but too often found it pulled me out of the story.
My headline ask is if you’re going to have an entire story read with an English accent, please get someone English to do it. I volunteer as tribute and we’re probably cheaper because we don’t need health insurance (for now) 🫠 Sorry, I’ll get off my high horse now!
