Shorter than the other books in the series. I guess that's why this is only being considered part 1 of a 2-part book, but that seems a bit odd to me. I'm not sure why the author didn't just make the second part a bit shorter, this one a bit longer, then call them books 8 & 9 instead.

Still, it's well worth reading despite that.
