romance novels are usually half as long and cover a short period of time, the beauty of this book is covering a lifetime with all the stories in between , there is only one love and mostly it's messy to get there to keep it or lose it, 2nd chances are rare grab it. our heroine is saddened by loss and wanders trying to remind herself, Wyn Malone captures the soriety girls conflict and her incomplete life, and Amber Benson narrates with humour passion and defines the characters in accent/emotion. it's sad but money really can't buy love we all struggle with it. Great book I will read again often.

The narrator is the perfect voice for making this story come to life. The plot is compelling and unpredictable. The characters are relatable and it's so easy to root for them.

My only objection is the last few sentences of the ending. I wanted a little more.

Spanning the decades, Wynn Malone's excellent novel tells the story of a love that is lost, the hurt this causes and the bravery needed to find it again. The wide ranging cast of characters are brought skilfully to life by Amber Benson who, to my British ears at least, convincingly utilises an impressive number of regional US accents to achieve a well narrated audiobook.
