Natalie and Beau rushed into marriage but then they slammed the brakes on and have emotionally lived separate lives even as they share a home. This is my least favourite of the series, I found both Natalie and Beau difficult to like for the first half of the book. Both are blinkered and refuse to see anything other than their own twisted view and stubbornly stick by the opinions they have decided are true. All of the Blaze brothers are broken and struggle to live a healthy emotional life after the betrayal of their mother, but Beau appears to be the worst as his reasoning is just bizarre, as Hudson helpfully points out!
It is heartwarming to see them finally lower their walls and admit their love.
