Unlike the other David Burke series characters, the protagonist in this one is made to suffer a lot. The main character has to endure a lot of hardship and pain and is a true underdog for the first 2 books. A welcome change and truly descriptive regarding the physical torture he is put through. The performances are top notch as usual. The story is interesting with a good mix of erotica and adventure. The way the stories are being setup, it is starting to feel like all the DB series characters are going to eventually culminate in some multiverse showdown.

I liked this series apart where many of the chapter is just about is just about him getting him stronger and he getting lost in though thinking about stuff again and again, again and again... while people are waiting for him to say something. preventing the progress story to progress. I'm pretty sure you could take remove 30 hours from this series and it would be so much better. For fuck sake how many chapter is in this serie does it have to be where he spin his mana faster. Seriously. I lost count. I'm half way through it and any word related to him and his mana core and I'll automatic skip. at this point. I feel 1/3 about the story is just about training.

Nice world building action and sex scenes. Good story to romance to sex ratio. Like 5-10% sex / romance and not the boring kind

There might have been times where I thought it had too many expositions or been long winded. For that matter, the opposite can also be said when I wanted more from a scene before jumping to the next. Nonetheless, loved it and the next book series I read/listen will be from the same author.

i listened to it and enjoyed a good section of it. but some things about it kept getting to me. all focused around his women.

flip the stories genders around now and then while listening to it. it's messed up on so many levels. no wonder it kept making me feel angry.

good voice acting and anything NOT to do with his wives and girlfriends is good. but honestly im hiding this book from my library because now i realise WHY it bothered me so much, i cant look at it again.

2 star story at best.
