Being from the great city and county of Manchester so it was great listening to this audio book. it was like a walk down memory lane. one issue that pissed me off a bit was the delivery by the narrator, she did a great job of making the Mancunian sound like South Afriican. or dick Van Dyke Cockley. Salford is pronounced Solford and not Sal-ford.

Rant over. loved the story addicted to it now. give it a go, you will love it.

Goon Squad is a really enjoyable book.

Loved every minute ..great writing..great stories…. Some of the northern accents leave a lot to be desired though…speaking as a Lancastrian

Some fantastic stories and excellent writing. Only fault is with the guest narrators - one cant seem to decide if he is Welsh, South African or Cockney and its a bit off putting. looking forward to more of these though!

Great stories, no idea why these actors were cast for this project. I believe it improves through the work as she has at least heard a real Mancunian accent but the constant mispronunciation of Salford is jarring. Love the style and stories though
