A haunting gothic mystery filled with murder, hidden messages, supernatural intrigue, romance, and dark humor.

Perfect for fans of Agatha Christie, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Daphne du Maurier, and P. G. Wodehouse.

As her memory begins to fail in old age, Hattie Vavaseur is taken to a strange mansion steeped in secrets, tension, and whispers of the supernatural. Inside its shadowed halls, she encounters the house's enigmatic and volatile master – and soon finds herself entangled in the murder investigation of an American salesman.

With the help of a flamboyant medium, Hattie searches for clues in a house where nothing is quite what it seems. But beneath the murder mystery lies a far more personal question:

What happened in Hattie's forgotten past?

As hidden messages emerge and long-buried truths surface, Hattie must untangle the secrets of the mansion before her fading memories disappear forever.

Atmospheric, witty, and emotionally gripping, Hattie Vavaseur is a supernatural gothic mystery that's perfect for readers who love paranormal suspense, historical mysteries, eccentric characters, and slow-burning intrigue.

Readers of Hattie Vavaseur can also look for cross-over character Vamelda Anstruthers in M. Rebecca Wildsmith's second standalone mystery novel, Verity Easton.

I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this book. The characters were such fun and I felt the narrator did a great job in bringing them to life. I particularly loved Vamelda, the fantastically dramatic medium. There were some gloriously witty moments but also suspense and drama. This really does have something for everyone.

A joyous listen
