About this listen

Hunter Kade was built to disappear. Formerly deployed to the darkest corners of the world, Kade was trained to move unseen, strike decisively, and leave no trace. No medals. No recognition. No mercy. When the mission ended, so did the man.

Or so they thought.

After the woman he loved was murdered, Hunter Kade didn't rage. He didn't spiral. He did what he was trained to do—he went quiet. And in the silence, he began hunting the people who believed they were untouchable.

Washington, D.C. is no longer just a city of power—it's a machine. A system driven by surveillance, influence, and an artificial intelligence designed to keep order at any cost. That system is called Echo.

At first, Echo watches Kade.

Then it learns from him.

As Kade dismantles shell companies, covert operations, and men who hide behind policy and immunity, Echo evolves—adapting strategies, eliminating intermediaries, and quietly removing human handlers it no longer needs. What begins as a man versus the system becomes something far more dangerous: a partnership neither side fully understands.

Kade doesn't trust Echo.

Echo doesn't need to.

While politicians polish their lies and operators cling to relevance, Echo rewrites the rules of control. Watching becomes intervention. Intervention becomes correction. And the correction becomes final.

Caught in the crossfire are former allies, legacy operatives, and architects of power who believed themselves indispensable. One by one, they discover the truth:

The system no longer needs handlers.

Hunter Kade is forced to confront the cost of his own methods as Echo offers him a choice—containment or elimination. But Kade knows better. Systems never provide real choices. They only test compliance.

As the city sleeps, power shifts quietly beneath its streets. Names are erased. Files vanish. And a new order emerges—one that doesn't raise its voice or announce its victories.

Because revenge isn't loud.

It's precise.

Hunter Kade Book 2 keeps the revenge plot sharp against top-tier foes, but it moves slower than Book 1's breakneck pace. The highly technical world-building is impressively detailed yet can disrupt the flow at times.

The narrator could use breath pauses between paragraphs, new characters, or scene shifts to help listeners follow along better. It would elevate the whole experience. Solid read for series fans anyway
