One of the best books looking into one of the greatest murder mysteries.

They way the author looks at each crime then and how if it happened today would profile the killer and the technical know how of today's forensics and technology at the use of modern day policing.

Excellent. The work does well examining the case with police thought processes. This led me to re-examining parts of the case I'd previously taken for granted. The narrator was good as well. Worth a go.

Although I found this book very informative I did get frustrated with the fact that the author explained police procedures today in great depth. As a ripperologist I found some parts a bit patronising. However the structure of the murders and insight into the crimes was very interesting. It doesn’t name anyone who he believes was the ripper but it certainly outrules many beliefs using criminal profiling. Worth a listen to 3.5/5
