“...Riveting and frighteningly plausible.” — Kirkus Reviews

“…Supremely intense and fantastically imaginative….” — Readers’ Favorite

What would you do if you lived in a near-future United States of America in which the President has declared weekend minority culling "Passes" legal?

In which citizens must compete in reality TV programs for healthcare, the right to travel, higher education, or "freedom" to live in private segregated communities?

What would you do if you were falling for a beautiful biracial climatologist and artist who might be a member of a radical "terrorist" network?
And whose twin sister works for the very same government oppressing them all?

And you knew someone, somewhere, probably has placed a bullseye on your head?

This is the future in which Noah Harpster, humble incongruent anachronism, pickpocket, and three-time loser, finds himself cast.

Like you, he's got some tough decisions to make with too few options.

To the government, and everyone else, he's just one more grain of sand in society's colossal hourglass.

And time's running out....

This is a brilliant book. It’s a scary and fantastic projection of how we could go in the near future and the not so near future. It projects into a scary dystopian future that horrifies the imagination. There is amazing technology that is woven into a political dystopian future That you’ll be shocked to read. One grain sand is a fantastic name for this book. It works on many levels. One grain of sand can get in the gears and stop the larger machine of society from working. One grain of sand, one person can make a difference. we have seen it throughout history in many occasions and this book encompass that idea as well. One grain of sand can do so much. I read. This book in several sessions and that’s not because it’s short. This book is actually pretty long and it needs it to encompass everything that it talks about. I certainly hope you enjoy as well.

Fantastic glimpse into a scary future
