Jill Bennett isn't all that into parties anymore, but she supports her friends. This is why she's tipsy from a round of flip cup and considering doing bad things with her friend's boyfriend's brother. Cameron McClain is arrogant, condescending, and hot. When he offers to show her his rock collection, she is just intrigued enough to follow him. After their night together, Jill cannot get Cam to stop contacting her. However, her current date is supposed to be her only date.

This is a fun little view of a night from Callie's story in Jill's eyes. If you're looking for a teaser of Caught in the Lies, you will not be disappointed.

I loved this quick look into the beginning of Cam and Jill's relationship. I actually read this book after the full length novel, Caught in the Lies but I wanted to know how these two started. (the full book was more of the same- fun banter (Cam is a hilarious), steamy, fast moving and angsty. This is such a fun way to spend 1.5 hours and it will whet your interest for more with this couple.

I had the opportunity to listen to the audiobook upon request and it features features Savannah Peachwood. She's one of my favorite narrators and she does such a great job with the story and playing multiple characters. She's fantastic at setting up this book and then, in the full length novel.

What a great introduction to Cam and Jill! These two meet at a party, and agree to one night of passion. But is one night enough? This book gives us loads of witty banter, steamy passion and a fit impossible not to explore. I loved Savannah Peachwood’s performance. Her talent gives us both personalities, and her comedic timing is spot on! I am going to grab Caught in Lies to see where these two end up. I can’t resist a good firefighter romance!
