I honestly really enjoyed this book. The narration was phenomenal, it really helped to draw me into the story. I am so curious on how the tale will be continued in future books!

Beautifully written, authentic characters, and whimsical folk fantasy elements. I was gripped by the relationship between the two main characters, and felt very emotional at the end. I'm looking forward to the next book.

This is a completely daft story, but if you don’t fall in love with the two heroes there’s something wrong with you and why were you even listening to it. However, I was hoping for a different ending …. And I doubt book 2 will cheer me up, judging by the title … but I will get it anyway and buy more tissues. It is very Welsh, which only seems to add to the poignancy like so many things Welsh (I live in the Marches, so I can identify with some of the sentiment even when shrouded in unlikely history and much weirdness). It will stay with me, in many threads and some tears.
