Following in his late father's footsteps, Tai Woffinden made his name as Britain's most successful speedway rider ever. Known for his speed on the tracks and his quirky tattoos, he is a popular figure within the sport and beyond it.

With a vast array of titles to his name, including youngest ever Grand Prix World Champion, achieved at the age of twenty-three, Tai has come a long way from his Scunthorpe roots. His love affair with speedway began when his family emigrated to Australia while he was a child, where he became a local champion while still at school. He has not been without his share of struggles, however. In 2010, he lost his father, the popular speedway rider Rob Woffinden, to cancer, which, combined with issues within his team, resulted in a difficult season. Then, in 2019, during his defence of his World Championship, he crashed heavily during a race in Poland and was badly injured, breaking his back.

Such setbacks do not keep true champions down for long, however - Tai will be back, to dazzle his thousands of fans with his unique combination of flamboyant skill and raw courage. Told with his trademark honesty and directness, his autobiography provides an eye-opening insight into the life of one of speedway's greatest talents and most beloved stars.

Wow Tai, I knew you had been through alot, but I did not not realize you have gone through all this.

First of all, you reduced me to tears, as I listened about your Dad as I have gone through something similar, but hearing the other things on top.

I then was happy to hear the truth about your Childhood upbringing and how you are Australian and not English. This again is something I can very much understand.

I just want to thank you for saying about Speedway and the SGB how they actually are. As a fan, we don't get to know any of this and it is great that a top rider has finally spoken out and informed us.

You have always been one of my favourite riders and I have been counting down the days to getting your Audiobook.

I have not been disappointed.

An excellent, thought out Book

this is a really interesting insight into Tai's world, a must read as it will like me change your opinion of Tai in certain areas and make you realise the real guy behind the story of his life and also how I feel the media has misrepresented him and sold him very short in the past. he speaks so much sense regarding the sport and if he is listened too could elevate this forgotten gem back to the heights it o certain was and give him the recognition he clearly deserves and not just the negative shit he seems to regularly get!
these gladiators need to be recognised and rewarded for all they put themselves through to be in such a high pressure and dangerous sport (and low rewards compared to say footballers etc) they just go about their lifes not really complaining about their injuries and try to make a living in a relatively short career.
away from speedway clearly a loving caring family man with a huge heart.
full respect to you my friend. So many people could learn so much from you.
you can't read this and fail to be inspired by his life, honesty and dedication to all he see's important to him.
Good onya and good luck mate
