Made all the more enjoyable by the fantastic story telling by Tony Britton, you never have any problems telling who's supposed to be speaking, since he is so good at changing his voice.

Another great book by Dick Francis.

A brilliant story, with good twists and turns. The recording however, was obviously an older recording and in places it gets a bit quiet, but the narrator is clear with a lovely reading voice, so you still get lost in the story regardless.

The performance of the story was excellent, however there were issues with the sound quality. An annoying background hiss, more pronounced because the sound level was lower than any other audiobook I've listened to meant that I had to increase the volume beyond the phone's recommended level.

Love the story but the recording quality was a bit off in places which distracted from the overall experience. I read the book years ago and decided to give the audio version a try. Took a while to actually do so as the last Dick Francis audio book I tried I had to return because of quality problems - faint background noise almost whole way through which distracted from listening. Also, although I like Tony Britton's voice, I think it's time for a younger narrator but glad I haven't got to choose as it will be hard to replace him. The samples I've listened to and listeners' comments aren't encouraging.
