As time passes, Scarlet grows more accustomed to life as a Guardian. Life at Lion's Heart. And to her status as a half demon noble.
But the Class V Fracture nears, and everything she has come to know is threatened to change.
Will this change be a good one though?
Or a bad one.
About the series: When a Demonic Assault occurs, most people stuck inside of a Fracture end up hiding inside of a bunker in the hopes that they don’t get killed by a demon. Others might even hope for the slightest possible chance at signing a contract with a spirit and becoming a Guardian. So when Scarlet was caught in a Fracture, the last thing she expected was to become a demon herself. Join her as she learns about her nature as a half demon, grows stronger, and figures out who exactly she is.

Biggest issues are with story progression. For the longest time the story has made it crucial that after the tier 5 fragment event is over the MC chooses either her mum or dad to train her. Then not only does no one train her ar all, or give her even a single lesson or advice on anything, they actively aork to handicap her training efforts
Another example: in under 7 days (most of which were chaotic due to 5th tier gate) the 3rd rate party members have suddenly caught up to the MC gaining levels and ascending much faster than MC ever did. And just did 4 out of 5 clmlow level cass 1 people manage to not only gain about 40-60 levels each but also gain a fragment cores for ascension. When they could have accessed 1 or max 2 class 1 cores in that time. Not to mention thame fact that they weren't even close to being able to take down a core.
Also while some of the over dramatic feels moments with her family makes some sense with lore and racial characteristics in mind, they are way too over the top and inconsistent on execution.
Especially the MC acts more like a vindictive narcissist sociopath for the most part, than an actual person. Also, her friendship with her best friend makes absolutely no sense. They have nothing in common, lack any mutual interests, mostly treat each other horribly and try to change and control each other. The same with her foster family.
I am a bit worried for the mental health of the author if he thinks relationships are as one-sided and transactional as in this series.
However, even with all these problems, I think the series is still good and worth 4/5 stars. If the author would have used an editor and rewritten the story properly before a big publishing like an audiobook release (especially stats portions are horrible for audiobook format), it could have been a top tier story
Audio is finally fixed and narration is amazing. Story still has some small issues
