A walk around Chester Walls attunes the poet to history, not the Roman past, rather his own past walking these very walls so many times before. Staying with the City of Chester, we find ourselves leaving in a fast train, to step off onto the platform at the iconic Crewe Railway Station. Spending time in Macclesfield sees us visiting the canal, talking a walk in the forest and finding ourselves remembering a legend.
The poet spent fifteen years living in Cheshire, this collection captures the essence of his time spent growing into adulthood within the County, and his frequently poignant experiences travelling back there to perform poetry over the years.
