I listened to this book first then immediately had to listen to every one in the series, on hindsight i think this would have been better last, i didn’t realise, but netherless it was brilliant and easy to listen to, none of the books in the series lost my attention, the story is well thought out and put together, the twists are very clever and i was completely invested and gutted that i have finished, the narration is brilliant and there was no whiney annoying characters which i can find irritating, off putting and time wasting, i am looking forward to reading and listening to more from this Author.

It was wonderful to have another chance to expand on The Doctor’s Wife series. Sarah Durham is an amazing narrator and voice of Fern. This is a must for any fans of this series, I really enjoyed it and made me listen to series again

Excellent prequel to this amazing series

The characters in this book didn't ignite me. They went from bland to outright bonkers. I felt confused on several occasions, and there were a few mistakes on the audible version, which I found sloppy.

I usually love Hurst's work, unfortunately this one just wasn't for me.
