The recording of this being ok was not the best. It kept repeating some of the lines .

I found this book in the Audible Plus Catalogue and it was a pleasant find. The setting, story and characters were interesting but there was something missing that I couldn’t quite put my finger on.
Although characters in life have repetitive behaviour, it can be a bit of a pain to listen to every time a character comes to the front of the story. The narrator was ok with a pleasant lilt and tone.
Worth a try.

Mildly enjoyable, if slightly bonkers, plot, with plenty of red-ish herrings and several rather clumsily written and heavy handed attempts to steer the reader in the direction re: the killer ... I'm glad it was a freebie, and because it was I will probably invest another few hours of my life reading a second and possibly even a third volume.

fast paced story with good characters who grow on you. in particular morag (who maybe should be the inspector) and the padre.
