Really enjoyed this one. Made a nice change for the setting to be a bit more “villagey”, with the London high society mostly just referred to. Good clutch of characters, entertainingly written and narrated.

Not one of Heyer's best. Narration is stilted although individual dialogue very good. Unsettling though.

Disjointed narration

Mispronunciation of ‘ton’ only jarring note. But good story and well read. I enjoyed it.

Thoroughly enjoyable

With Georgette Heyer you know what the end will eventually be, but it is a pure delight in the journey. Filled with wit and excellent story telling, none can be beaten. Georgette Heyer has been sadly let down in most of the new by Penguin audio versions. This narrator was Ok better than some of the others.
