I’ve only known her a few weeks. She’s taken over my life. And I think she’s after my family.

I just wanted to get fit for my wedding day. To look perfect when I marry Seb – the man who made me believe in love again, after what happened to my first husband.

Everyone says I’m rushing in. Maybe they’re right. But Seb is everything I ever wanted. And his teenage daughter will come round – in time.

So when I meet Claudia – all golden hair, gleaming teeth, and relentless positivity – she feels like the answer to everything. My personal trainer. My new best friend. My biggest mistake.

At first, she’s perfect. The workouts, the meal plans, the constant messages checking in. But soon she’s everywhere – at my gym, in my local park, outside my house – watching me.

Seb says I’m imagining things. Until I find a photo of his dead wife in our kitchen – a photo he swears he’s never seen before – and Claudia’s car parked outside in the dark.

I know I’m not losing my mind. She wants my life. My family. But I’m not the pushover she thinks I am.

Because the real danger might not be her . . . It might be someone much closer to home.

Well I read this as a freebie and to have a break from some of the more serious thrillers I have been listening to. I didn’t expect it to be this enjoyable. The main character was so gullible that it was enjoyably irritating. There were some great plot twists and the character Claudine was great! Must also add that the narration was spot on. I’m now following this author and think this book would make a fabulous film…just imagining Rosamund Pike as Claudine.

Cracking story and great narration

The main character was ridiculously stupid it made it almost too frustrating to listen to! All in all the characters were too unbelievable and hard to like to enjoy the story. The narration was very good

Infuriating characters

There's second guessing oneself, and then their is complete STUPIDITY. The foolishness of the protagonist pulled me out of the story.

Main character is too stupid to like
