Alice Greenleaf – A no-nonsense herbalist with a knack for noticing what others miss.
Blake Collins – A clever schoolteacher who sees patterns no one else does.
Dorothy Baker – A quick-witted young mother whose instincts never fail.

As they untangle a web of sabotage and secrets, another worker turns up dead. Can they uncover the saboteur before disaster strikes again?

I'm enjoying the series, it's light and diverting enough. However, like other listeners I'm finding the Americanisms jarring. Were there no proof readers able properly to edit them.
Also, this story is set in the summer of 1941, and an air raid on the factory in Ashford describes a Focke Wulf 190 strafing at people. Evie recognises it by the sound of its radial engine. Well, yes, it did have a radial engine, but didn't enter service until August 1941, and then over France. So it's unlikely one flew over England and certainly not possible for her to have been able to recognise one.
