The epic orchestral score at the start of this audiobook perfectly sets the tone for Roland Smith’s tale of high drama and death-defying action that finds Chase and his friends Nicole and Rashawn, who’ve found safe haven on a farm after escaping the wrath of Hurricane Emily, squaring off against hungry lions and leopards that have just escaped their circus’ cages.
Ramon de Ocampo’s versatile, energetic performance is as spry and nimble as a jungle cat, and it heightens the nail-biting tension in this listen that will entrance young listeners eager for adventure.
