One life changing moment of madness…

Perfect for fans of Liane Moriarty, Shari Lapena and Lisa Jewell

It was supposed to be a fresh start. A move to a new town for me and my family.
I’d been offered the perfect position, teaching English at the local high school but then I met sixth form student Nicky Stevens.
Initially flattered by his attention, I let my guard down.
But I had no idea of the monster I’d let into my life or just how far his obsession would go.
Nothing could prepare me for the devastating consequences caused by my one moment of weakness.

Hard to believe in 2020 an author could create the main female character (Izzy) to be like this one. In some parts I really did consider just giving up, but aside from Izzy, the rest of the book was actually fine (including all the other characters). I must say do like Georgia Maguire as the narrator of Gemma Rogers books.

THE most idiotic female ever!

I’m half way through chapter 14 but I don’t know if I can bare to keep going. The story is getting increasingly ridiculous but the narrator is one of my favourites — she is the only reason I’ve made it this far.

Like many others have already said: Irritating and unrealistic

As a teacher myself I found the main character infuriating. I found the writing quite lazy amd unbelievably naive. It couldve contained so much more.

Ok story, couldve been so much better

The storyline was okay but the main character was so annoying. A teacher and pupil? I know these things happen it's not about that but couldn't she read the writing on the wall.

Okay but...
