They're reincarnated soulmates. So why is he pushing her away?

Lizzie Davenport has been reincarnated from 1815, England...but she doesn't know it until she meets her soulmate from the past and he triggers her memories to gradually return.

When Drew Carmichael moves to Lizzie's town, she feels a connection to him, like she knows him. But he wants nothing to do with her. She knows she should let go of her fascination with Drew, but that gets harder and harder as memories of her past life return. And the more Lizzie remembers, the more she's determined to unravel the mysteries of the past...no matter how deadly those secrets might be.

The overall idea of the story was a good one and I found myself wanting to listen until the end for the conclusion. However, maybe it was coincidence but early on particularly there were lots of scenes and scenarios that were very similar to other well known books, movies and TV series out there. They weren’t exactly the same, but close enough that my brain immediately made the connection. It was like little pieces of influence from other things all brought together. I don’t wish to spoil it for others so I won’t give examples, but on a positive note the story did move in ways that I wasn’t expecting which is what kept my attention until the end. I do wish the author had done more research into ‘English’ though both current and in the past, as she got it wrong on multiple occasions. For example, in England, we don’t use the term ‘cell phone’ we say ‘mobile phone’ or just ‘mobile’. Also, in times past nobility would not use the word ‘Mum’ when speaking about their parent, they would use ‘Mama’ or the formal ‘Mother’. Using proper English helps to make the characters more believable. In conclusion, an interesting concept, but the writing and originality was lacking.

An interesting concept

this book should state clearly that its for young adults or teenagers while the plot was at some points interesting the majority if the stories were quite laid back but i think as a teenage girl i would have quite liked it its definitely not for adults though

great book for teenage girls

This is not suitable for adult reading. The story line is very basic and the English accent atrocious. Only for the young

I found the voice very robotic. I found the story very boring. I read upto chapter 9 thinking the story would unfold. it was very slow to unfold. it was a bit mills and boon. not my cup of tea at all. I won't be reading the rest.

very robotic voice
