This is Going to Hurt was the publishing phenomenon of the century, read by many millions, loved by at least fifty of them, and adapted into a major TV series. But it was only part of the story.

By turns hilarious, heartbreaking and humbling, Undoctored is about what happens when a doctor hangs up his scrubs, but medicine refuses to let go of him.

It's about an extraordinary medical school education.
It's about opening old wounds and examining the present-day scars.
It's about hospital admissions and personal ones.
It's about blowing up your life and stitching it back together.
It's about being a doctor and being a patient.
It's about 300 pages long.

Undoctored is Adam Kay's funniest and most moving book yet - an astonishing portrait of a life in and out of medicine, from one of Britain's finest storytellers.

This unabridged audio download, narrated by the author, features extra diary entries recorded in audio for the first time, and an audiobook exclusive interview with bestselling author and broadcaster The Reverend Richard Coles.

I found this book not nearly as good as his previous books. Nor as funny. Not awful but not something I'd go out of my way to re read.

Good listen.. but

If you like Adam's previous works then this is right up your metaphorical alley.

Would have given it a 5 overall, but some of the editing in the first 1/3rd throws off the pacing slightly.

Another hilarious hard-hitter

I purchased this the day it came out and luckily had a long drive so could listen to it in full. The book is raw in parts, very funny in others, and the interview at the end is fantastic.

A truly brilliant book

I've always loved Adams humour, but I loved his honesty even more.

I doubt anyone will read this review but if you do know some parts might be hard to hear at times but if you can listen it's potentially life changing -

Like his previous books he shines an eye opening veiw of being a medic with his trademark dark humour - But this book is also shows you the man behind the funny medic we all know. He let's down his shields & shares events that changed his life and I think the stories he shares might be hard to hear for some but for others will potentially change their lives for the better. I know it did for me and I wanst expecting it at all.

Love his humour but I love his honesty even more.

Laugh out loud and thought provoking at times. Eye opener into the world of medicine and health care. Interesting read.
