  • Why Authenticity Begins With Courage
    Jun 29 2026
Y'all, what if the thing you've been resistin' the most is the very thing you were made to do? For years I watched my daughter, my friends, and peers publish their books while I let fear win. But I finally pushed through, did it scared and unsure but I did it anyway. Y'all, my book just went to press and I cannot tell you how good it feels. Today I'm sharin' everything I've learned about resistance, why your doubt is actually your biggest sign to keep going, and how to finally surrender to the thing God put you here to do. There’s joy waiting for you on the other side.

[10:03] Start before you have it all figured out
[11:12] Doing it anyway, even when you're still scared
[12:08] Pressfield's unpublished two-year project & why it changed everything
[14:26] Book launch details & how to pre-order your copy!
    [15:27] I'm announcing a workshop, y'all hold me accountable!

  • Don't Pre-Apologize for Your Amazing Life!
    Jun 22 2026
One of my favorite speakers, Jon Acuff, said something this week that stopped me cold: "We like labels because they offer an explanation for behavior we don't want to change." Ouch. I felt seen, called out, and set free all at the same time and I had to bring it straight to you. In this episode, I'm sharing the quote that changed the way I see every excuse I've ever made, why "I'm just not good at that" might be the most expensive sentence you ever speak over yourself, and what I finally realized after years of running on Karen Power and wondering why I kept hitting the wall. I'm also getting real about a pattern I see in myself and so many of the people I love, pre-apologizing for the very gifts that helped us survive. The affirmations I've been writing since I was ten years old, the ones that carried me through addiction in my home, heartbreak, and seasons with nothing left. I've been calling them "just a little affirmation book." Not anymore. our gifts were never meant to come with an apology.

    Episode Highlights:
[01:12] The labels we use as excuses not to change
[03:17] "I'm not talented and smart enough to be unprepared"
[06:24] What going to bed discouraged is really telling you
[13:32] Karen Power vs. plugging into the RIGHT source
[17:56] You can't change others — but you have 100% control over changing yourself
[19:41] When you stop saving people, they learn to save themselves
    [25:37] I've been pre-apologizing for my own gifts — and I'm done!
[30:04] Anticipate the best — the Shore House story that got me good
[31:29] Closing affirmation & sendin' you off with a full heart

  • Why Gen Z is Leading the Way in Mental Health
    May 11 2026
It’s mental health awareness month and today I’m reflecting on how much has changed... I can remember when I was younger, if you needed to go to therapy, it was almost a secret. We were surrounded by shame, feeling like we were defective if we couldn’t handle it all on our own. But now, things have shifted, and we are finally dropping that stigma thanks to the brave young people in our lives who have embraced it.Today I’m joined by my precious grandchild, JJ, who is truly wise beyond their years, to talk about their mental health journey. JJ shares their experience growing up in the wake of family addiction and loss, and how they are choosing to break the cycle. This episode is for anyone who needs a reminder that it’s okay to not be okay, and that there is so much power in simply being honest about our struggles.
