Rosa Parks is well known for being one of the participants of the Montgomery Bus Boycott in Montgomery, Alabama, but she did more than just refuse to give up her seat on the bus that day. She stood with conviction and bravery in the face of adversity during a time when the color of your skin determined your status in society. Let's hope that we can eventually learn from the history of brave men and women; no matter your skin color.

Abigail Adams was quite the influence for her husband, John Adams, in his many years of government service. She was known to have written over 1,000 letters to her husband over several decades. She was both wife and mother to two Presidents in our nation's history.
