• Patreon Unlock 2: The Weird Tapes
    Jun 2 2026

In 2017, the tragic events at Saint Rose's Orphanage in Kentucky shocked the community. The entire staff, including house mothers, housekeepers, workers, and security personnel, were discovered deceased and mutilated. Strikingly, all the children were missing. Early in the investigation, authorities found a tape recording that captured some of the harrowing incidents. According to reports, the tape suggested that the children were manipulated into committing the murders by one of the house Mothers. Some speculate that this woman is the notorious exopath known as "Mother-May-I," rumored to have a sinister influence over children and the ability to control them to carry out violent acts. However, the involvement of this individual has not been officially confirmed or denied by law enforcement.

In 2011, The Weird Book received one of the strangest audio recordings in its history. The recording details a murder investigation led by an inspector named Clay Hellsworth. However, listeners have reported hearing different versions of the recording, with some describing entirely different conclusions. Due to its anomalous nature, the tape has been placed in quarantine until further research can be conducted on its peculiar properties.

Neighboring the quiet and humble village of Greywitch lives a sinister place, a town raised from barren soil and unwholesome deeds. Its specific nature remains elusive, but the people of Greywitch are certain of one thing - it is evil.

The following was scrawled into a diary found in a house located in New Hollow - one of the towns permanently quarantined since the closure of the Great Darkness of 1999. Often simply known as "weird towns," these places are cordoned off from the public due to their "dangerous conditions." While few concrete details are ever offered, there are often rumors about what strangeness lurks in the abandoned cities.

After being closed in 2001, New Hollow was the subject of many such rumors. Some stated that time worked differently in the city, while others claimed consciousness interacted with the town in some bizarre way. In 2007, a group of brave (or stupid) urban explorers trespassed the city's borders. Exploring various places, the adventurers found a strange diary in one of the many houses in the city. While the house seemed to be the same one described in the diary, the small book was found in a child's bedroom full of toys, old clothing, and a small library of children's books. Curiously, all the books were face out except one - "The Hag in the Hut" - which, when flipped over, revealed a haggard looking witch on its cover. Additionally, and to the explorers' chagrin, they also reportedly found a pile of human bones living beneath the room's bed.

After missing for a week, only 2 of the 5 trespassers came back from the town. Authorities took the individuals into custody, and the diary the individuals brought back with them was eventually given to researchers at Mistoric university, as few artifacts from the quarantined zones are available for research. As for the remaining explorers, it was never discovered, or at least revealed, what became of them.

On July 31, 2008, a strange journal was found near the banks of Green Lake in Thunderburg, Ohio. The small diary belonged to one Joseph Harland. He was reported missing, along with his wife and kids, only a few days before. The following excerpts are the last few entries logged.
