• Ep 176: Don't Rock The Boat
    Jun 2 2026
There are many positives and negatives to following the status quo. To some extent, we all rock the boat. However, are we rocking the boat too much or not enough? Most of us probably don’t rock the boat enough. This is a deeply personal journey that requires listening to our intuition and having the courage to act. Without the curiosity to question everything and seek alignment in all areas of our lives, we will settle for a life that does not meet our highest potential. The Japanese conformist cultural upbringing Challenging the status quo Understand where our desire to rock the boat comes from Negatives to rocking the boat The stakes are high The depth of relationships is revealed Positives to rocking the boat Living from your truth ------------------------- CONNECT WITH JEFF: Website: https://jeffmillercoaching.com/ LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/jeffmillercoaching/ IG: @jeffmillercoaching FB: https://www.facebook.com/jeff.miller.7965 Books: https://www.amazon.com/author/jeffmillercoaching CONNECT WITH TATSU: Website: https://tatsuyafushimi.com LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/tatsuyafushimi/ IG: @tatsuyafushimi FB: https://www.facebook.com/tatsuya.fushimi.9/ Books: https://www.amazon.com/author/tatsuyafushimi

  • Ep 175: Keep Curiosity Alive!
    May 26 2026
The purity of curiosity leads us into the realm of possibility and connection. With curiosity comes an inherent humility and a willingness to change our perspectives. Unfortunately, much of our curiosity is stifled at a young age by pressure to get it right rather than being encouraged to make mistakes. This plays right into the hands of the fearful ego by making assumptions and creating labels for everyone and everything in our lives. Thus, further stifling pure curiosity. Doing curiosity vs. being curious We’re trained to shut down curiosity We think we know more than we actually do We use labels to feel safe Being aware of my ego Practicing open-mindedness and open-heartedness Curiosity is limited by how open your heart is ------------------------- CONNECT WITH JEFF: Website: https://jeffmillercoaching.com/ LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/jeffmillercoaching/ IG: @jeffmillercoaching FB: https://www.facebook.com/jeff.miller.7965 Books: https://www.amazon.com/author/jeffmillercoaching CONNECT WITH TATSU: Website: https://tatsuyafushimi.com LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/tatsuyafushimi/ IG: @tatsuyafushimi FB: https://www.facebook.com/tatsuya.fushimi.9/ Books: https://www.amazon.com/author/tatsuyafushimi

  • Ep 174: What Outshines Your Suffering?
    May 19 2026
Suffering generally has a disempowering tone. In the middle of disappointment or displeasure, doubt and other disempowering thoughts tend to appear more often. It does not feel good when we are in the middle of suffering and pain. So, we try to avoid it with a myriad of coping mechanisms. Obviously, we are just perpetuating the suffering and the coping mechanisms. However, we can shift our relationship to suffering. This requires extremely deep clarity of what lights us up and is worth suffering for. Pattern of suffering If there’s an end goal, suffering is important Shifting relationship to suffering The clarity to ask for support Being aware of the choice We’re in a “feel-good” time Instinct towards coping mechanisms Unpacking suffering from childhood Suffering that comes with shifting dreams What are you willing to suffer for? ------------------------- CONNECT WITH JEFF: Website: https://jeffmillercoaching.com/ LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/jeffmillercoaching/ IG: @jeffmillercoaching FB: https://www.facebook.com/jeff.miller.7965 Books: https://www.amazon.com/author/jeffmillercoaching CONNECT WITH TATSU: Website: https://tatsuyafushimi.com LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/tatsuyafushimi/ IG: @tatsuyafushimi FB: https://www.facebook.com/tatsuya.fushimi.9/ Books: https://www.amazon.com/author/tatsuyafushimi

  • Ep 173: O.F.G. May
    May 12 2026
O.F.G. means opportunities for growth. Every situation we experience presents a seemingly infinite number of growth opportunities towards becoming the highest version of ourselves. However, it is up to us to train our minds to identify the opportunities and to integrate our hearts in the process. In this series of episodes, Jeff and Tatsu illustrate their thought processes when triggered by people and events in their lives. Digging into my 93-year-old dad’s communication style Being triggered by his tone of voice is tied to my root fears The gap between my and my son’s communication styles Allowing the space for discomfort We can be the generational change Leaning into what’s uncomfortable ------------------------- CONNECT WITH JEFF: Website: https://jeffmillercoaching.com/ LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/jeffmillercoaching/ IG: @jeffmillercoaching FB: https://www.facebook.com/jeff.miller.7965 Books: https://www.amazon.com/author/jeffmillercoaching CONNECT WITH TATSU: Website: https://tatsuyafushimi.com LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/tatsuyafushimi/ IG: @tatsuyafushimi FB: https://www.facebook.com/tatsuya.fushimi.9/ Books: https://www.amazon.com/author/tatsuyafushimi

  • Ep 172: The Reinvention Loop
    May 5 2026
When was the last time you reinvented yourself? And what drove that reinvention? What area(s) in your life did you reinvent? Reinvention is far more than a change. It is a transformation. We often consider a reinvention only when our usual strategies and tactics stop working. It is a reactionary, almost desperate, attempt to salvage something. Our decision to reinvent is usually a delayed choice, while our intuition immediately signals when it is time. So, we probably do not reinvent ourselves often enough. Reinvention presents the opportunity for us to realign our lives holistically and express ourselves in ways we currently do not. To squeeze as much juice out of life as possible, it would be wise to foster an empowering and inspirational relationship with reinvention. Need vs. want of reinvention Reinvention as an opportunity to express yourself differently Purpose with the doing vs. the being Change vs. transformation Opportunity to reinvent doesn’t stop The dynamic dance of vision and dreaming Using vision and dreams to win each day ------------------------- CONNECT WITH JEFF: Website: https://jeffmillercoaching.com/ LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/jeffmillercoaching/ IG: @jeffmillercoaching FB: https://www.facebook.com/jeff.miller.7965 Books: https://www.amazon.com/author/jeffmillercoaching CONNECT WITH TATSU: Website: https://tatsuyafushimi.com LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/tatsuyafushimi/ IG: @tatsuyafushimi FB: https://www.facebook.com/tatsuya.fushimi.9/ Books: https://www.amazon.com/author/tatsuyafushimi

  • Ep 171: Clarity Comes After The Choice, Not Before
    Apr 28 2026
Many of us want clarity before making a choice that will require time, energy, money, and other resources. We want the straightest, most efficient path to a goal. But what is clarity? Evidence to support a logical or practical conclusion? Assurance that we are making the right choice? An intuitive sense of alignment? An attempt to avoid wasting resources? It is a combination of things. But how do we know we are choosing the straightest, most efficient path to a goal? We do not know. We gain more clarity only after we choose and collect more information. We never actually have the clarity we seek because the information we collect is never complete. Also, our biased perception of the world taints our decision-making process. So, the clarity we seek is actually faux, not what we truly want. More clarity of what you don’t want Fake clarity wrapped up in lived experience, opinions, and context Awareness of boundaries after the event Reactionary behavior isn’t clarity Reflecting on a future choice can lead to being more unclear Clarity of commitments over clarity of a choice Fear of the winding road and being wrong ------------------------- CONNECT WITH JEFF: Website: https://jeffmillercoaching.com/ LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/jeffmillercoaching/ IG: @jeffmillercoaching FB: https://www.facebook.com/jeff.miller.7965 Books: https://www.amazon.com/author/jeffmillercoaching CONNECT WITH TATSU: Website: https://tatsuyafushimi.com LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/tatsuyafushimi/ IG: @tatsuyafushimi FB: https://www.facebook.com/tatsuya.fushimi.9/ Books: https://www.amazon.com/author/tatsuyafushimi

  • Ep 170: Are Your Expectations Clear?
    Apr 21 2026
Expectations are natural and unavoidable. They also often lead to disappointment because outcomes are not 100% controllable. Our expectations reveal a lot about ourselves. It is beneficial to understand what drives our expectations and to communicate them clearly and vulnerably. Otherwise, unmet expectations can create much resentment within, and resentment powerfully impacts our behavior. A lot of times, expectations are internal What’s driving us to want something in the first place? Zero expectations? Taking ourselves out of the present It’s unrealistic to be 100% unattached A growth mindset will always find a win Unmet expectations can lead to resentment Shoulds and obligations get weird Keep refining the ability to communicate Why is this expectation important to me? ------------------------- CONNECT WITH JEFF: Website: https://jeffmillercoaching.com/ LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/jeffmillercoaching/ IG: @jeffmillercoaching FB: https://www.facebook.com/jeff.miller.7965 Books: https://www.amazon.com/author/jeffmillercoaching CONNECT WITH TATSU: Website: https://tatsuyafushimi.com LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/tatsuyafushimi/ IG: @tatsuyafushimi FB: https://www.facebook.com/tatsuya.fushimi.9/ Books: https://www.amazon.com/author/tatsuyafushimi

  • Ep 169: My Truth vs. The Truth
    Apr 14 2026
There will never be two people who share the same perspective. It is impossible. They may share similar perspectives, but never the same. With this understanding, truth is subjective as well. We perpetuate conflict when we do not understand the distinction between “my truth” and “the truth”. Clinging to “my truth” and expressing it as “the truth” is a common issue today, especially online. Truth is subjective Sugar-coated truth Truth vs belief Having curiosity with why you think something is true My truth vs. the truth Reality is subjective People making bold statements to get reactions Seeking understanding as the goal Fear of being wrong ------------------------- CONNECT WITH JEFF: Website: https://jeffmillercoaching.com/ LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/jeffmillercoaching/ IG: @jeffmillercoaching FB: https://www.facebook.com/jeff.miller.7965 Books: https://www.amazon.com/author/jeffmillercoaching CONNECT WITH TATSU: Website: https://tatsuyafushimi.com LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/tatsuyafushimi/ IG: @tatsuyafushimi FB: https://www.facebook.com/tatsuya.fushimi.9/ Books: https://www.amazon.com/author/tatsuyafushimi
