It's October 2023, two in the morning, and Luna is scrolling through a shared network drive left over from a closed university library. Somewhere in the subfolders—deep in a directory called 'archived_thesis_appendices'—she finds a single JPEG thumbnail. The filename is a date: 2011-11-02. The image shows a dorm room, cheap desk lamp, unmade bed, a laptop open on a spreadsheet. The timestamp on the file says it was uploaded at 1:17 AM on November 3, 2011, but the metadata claims it was last accessed thirty seconds before she opened it. She wasn't the only one in that folder tonight.
