Governor Cox announced the restrictions yesterday, saying it's important for Utahns to put the state of the state ahead of personal desires to light fireworks. In rural central Utah, there's been an ongoing battle for years now over national monuments like Bears Ears and Grand Staircase Escalante. This week, an appeals court ruled on monument disputes involving the president of the United States, and it gathered praise from both sides of the issue. We get some perspective on the issue and the ruling – and why people are pleased with this development – with Utah Attorney General Derek Brown.
