John tells us ‘If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.'

Many people fear falling out of the grace of God. The standard of external moral purity is so high in some places that when things happen in life, they are overcome with guilt and shame and never go back again to church or they give up on their faith, or they stop praying because they believe they committed the unforgivable sin and God has rejected them.

But Christianity is a relationship with God, and not a ritual. It is knowing God and growing in our knowledge of God. Christians are called to follow Jesus.

The Christian life is not forfeiting an hour a week to go to church, it is a new life following Jesus.

We simply have no time, and these daily reflections are meant to be something you can ponder as you go about your day. My goal was never to start a church, but simply to proclaim the good news about Jesus, his identity, his authenticity, and his spirituality

The fear of others, what they say, what they believe, and what they might do constitute the greatest fears in preventing us from beginning our walk with Jesus in the first place. What does it mean to follow Jesus?

For those who believe and trust in Jesus, the path forward is worth it because the prize is good enough and knowing God and being known by God is precious enough to move forward.

Christians down through the centuries have been faced with a choice: ignore Jesus, reimagine a politically acceptable version of Christianity and live the good life or follow Jesus, be persecuted and inherit eternity.
