  • Daily Devotions: True Demon Power - June 28, 2026
    Jun 28 2026
Acts 16:16–18 (ESV) - “As we were going to the place of prayer, we were met by a slave girl who had a spirit of divination and brought her owners much gain by fortune-telling. She followed Paul and us, crying out, ‘These men are servants of the Most High God, who proclaim to you the way of salvation.’ And this she kept doing for many days. Paul, having become greatly annoyed, turned and said to the spirit, ‘I command you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her.’ And it came out that very hour.” In this episode of Daily Devotions, Pastor David Sumrall examines the story of a slave girl who was controlled by a spirit of divination. The passage reminds us that spiritual power is real and that not every supernatural manifestation comes from God. This spirit brought financial gain to her owners, but its source was demonic rather than divine. Pastor Sumrall explains that Paul recognized the true source behind the situation and addressed the spirit directly in the authority of Jesus Christ. When the demon left, the source of the fortune-telling disappeared as well. The story demonstrates both the reality of demonic influence and the greater authority of Christ over every spiritual power. ---- Don’t forget to like, subscribe to Cathedral of Praise TV https://www.youtube.com/c/cathedralofpraiseTV/?sub_confirmation=1,and hit the bell icon 🔔 to stay updated. • Daily Devotions: Clarity and Purity of Doctrine - June 27, 2026
    Jun 27 2026
Acts 16:4–5 (ESV) - “As they went on their way through the cities, they delivered to them for observance the decisions that had been reached by the apostles and elders who were in Jerusalem. So the churches were strengthened in the faith, and they increased in numbers daily.” In this episode of Daily Devotions, Pastor David Sumrall highlights the importance of doctrinal clarity in the growth and strength of the church. After false teachers had brought confusion and legalism to believers, Paul and his companions traveled from city to city sharing the decisions of the apostles and elders, providing clear biblical guidance and protecting the churches from error. Pastor Sumrall explains that the result was twofold: the churches were strengthened in their faith and they grew numerically. Healthy church growth was not built on confusion, compromise, or popular trends, but on clear teaching rooted in the truth of God's Word. Strong doctrine produced strong believers, and strong believers helped build strong churches. ---- Don’t forget to like, subscribe to Cathedral of Praise TV https://www.youtube.com/c/cathedralofpraiseTV/?sub_confirmation=1,and hit the bell icon 🔔 to stay updated. • Daily Devotions: Dealing With Self Called Teachers - June 26, 2026
    Jun 26 2026
Acts 15:24–25 (ESV) -“Since we have heard that some persons have gone out from us and troubled you with words, unsettling your minds, although we gave them no instructions, it has seemed good to us, having come to one accord, to choose men and send them to you with our beloved Barnabas and Paul.” In this episode of Daily Devotions, Pastor David Sumrall continues the story of how the early church addressed confusion caused by self-appointed teachers. These individuals claimed authority they did not possess and introduced teachings that troubled believers and created unnecessary burdens. The apostles responded decisively, making it clear that these men had not been sent by them and did not represent their message. Pastor Sumrall explains that confronting doctrinal confusion requires more than simply correcting error. The apostles identified the source of the false teaching, affirmed and endorsed trusted leaders who were faithfully preaching the truth, and sent recognized representatives to strengthen and encourage the churches. They addressed confusion directly while clearly communicating the truth. This Daily Devotion reminds us that false teaching gains influence when it goes unchallenged. ---- Don’t forget to like, subscribe to Cathedral of Praise TV https://www.youtube.com/c/cathedralofpraiseTV/?sub_confirmation=1,and hit the bell icon 🔔 to stay updated. • Daily Devotions: Claiming To Be Authorized - June 25, 2026
    Jun 25 2026
Acts 15:24 (ESV) - “Since we have heard that some persons have gone out from us and troubled you with words, unsettling your minds, although we gave them no instructions.” In this episode of Daily Devotions, Pastor David Sumrall examines a challenge faced by the early church: individuals who claimed authority they did not have and brought teachings that confused and troubled believers. The apostles made it clear that these men had not been sent by them, and their teachings were creating uncertainty rather than strengthening faith. Pastor Sumrall explains that throughout church history there have been people more interested in influencing existing believers than reaching the lost. Rather than focusing on evangelism and fulfilling the Great Commission, they seek to promote their own ideas, interpretations, or doctrines among those who are already part of the church. Be discerning about who we listen to and to measure every teaching by its faithfulness to God's Word and its fruit. ---- Don’t forget to like, subscribe to Cathedral of Praise TV https://www.youtube.com/c/cathedralofpraiseTV/?sub_confirmation=1,and hit the bell icon 🔔 to stay updated.
