  • The Good Wife: Season 5, Episode 11 - Goliath and David
    May 11 2026

The Good Pod is back with Season 5, Episode 11 of The Good Wife, "Goliath and David" — and yes, the earworm is real. Florick Agos takes on a copyright case involving a band called Ruh-Roh, a catchy pop cover of a Rebel Kane rap song called Tricky Trick, and a children's TV show called Drama Camp that may have stolen more than just the melody. The catch? Will Gardner is on the other side with Burl, and he is extremely motivated. Alicia knows exactly what she's doing when she walks back into that courtroom in a very specific suit. Meanwhile, Damien is cooking votes at Lockhart Gardner, Kalinda goes undercover at an OBGYN, and Eli gets hit with a bombshell that makes Marilyn's baby drama look like small potatoes. One of the most fun episodes of the season — and one of the most revealing.

  • Elsbeth: Season 3, Episode 18 - Murder from Scratch
    May 9 2026

Elsbeth Season 3 is diving into trad wife culture in episode 18, Murder from Scratch, and the results are as crispy as homemade sourdough — and just as labor-intensive. When documentary filmmaker Audra films trad wife influencer Juliet (a scene-stealing Anna Camp) making a vegan dinner from scratch for her husband's boss, she catches something shocking on camera: lard. In a vegan dinner. What follows is a murder as convoluted as the lifestyle Juliet is selling, involving baking ammonia, bleach, a cleaning pod, and a hard drive hidden in a chicken coop by a kid named Deservedly. Meanwhile, the precinct faces a budget crisis that threatens to send Detective Buzz Fleming into retirement before he's ready — and Elsbeth, Wagner, and the gang aren't going down without a poker fight.

  • The Good Wife: Season 5, Episode 10 - The Decision Tree
    May 5 2026

It's a milestone episode on two fronts — the hundredth episode of The Good Wife AND the hundredth Good Wife recap from The Good Pod! Jason and Marissa are celebrating with one of the most emotionally loaded episodes of the season. At the center of it all is a probate court battle over the late Matthew Ashbaugh's twelve-million-dollar estate, complete with a magic-marker will, a witness who was paid for an enema, and enough flashbacks to make your head spin — in the best way. But the real heart of this episode is the decision tree: Will Gardner sitting alone with a legal pad and a beer, rehearsing how he would cross-examine Alicia, letting every buried feeling about their relationship play out in his imagination. Josh Charles and Julianna Margulies bring career-best performances. Add in Jackie and Veronica going head-to-head at the holiday party, Eli's legendary spit take, and Lamont Bishop crashing the whole thing — and you've got yourself a hundredth episode worthy of the celebration.

00:00:54 – Jason and Marissa mark 100 episodes of The Good Wife and 100 Good Pod recaps

06:20 – Recap begins: Damien arrives at Florrick Agos, the Ashbaugh will mystery kicks off

14:04 – Sidebar on the flashback wigs, Julianna Margulies, and what Reddit has seen that cannot be unseen

24:32 – Nathan Lane's Clark takes the stand and cross-examines Paula Gidfar in a scene that is equal parts nervous and brilliant

38:04 – Will's decision tree dream sequence: the emotional gut-punch this episode is built around

49:23 – Alicia drops the David Lee bombshell and flips the entire case on its head

01:03:19 – Holiday party chaos: Veronica vs. Jackie, Lamont Bishop appears, Eli's legendary spit take

  • Elsbeth: Season 3, Episode 17 - High Class Problems
    May 3 2026

Kaya is back. KAYA IS BACK. And if this episode is any indication, the show should never let her leave again. In this recap of High Class Problems, Jason and Marissa are practically buzzing from the jump as Detective Block returns to the precinct — and brings all the chemistry, competence, and iconic green coat energy with her. The KayaBeth-and-Nikki trio is fully assembled, and the gang-is-all-here vibes are immaculate.

The case? A "wealth therapist" named Dr. Mal (played by the returning Constance Wu) has been cashing in on the secrets of her ultra-rich clients — literally. When one of those clients starts to figure it out, she cuts his motorcycle brake line and watches him crash into the harbor. Classic high class problems. But Elsbeth has a way of noticing things, and Kaya has a way of not letting the easy answer slide. Watching them dismantle Dr. Mal — and do it together — is exactly the show we have been asking for all season. Plus a therapy notes subplot that takes the most delightful swing at a certain tech billionaire, and a raw Kaya moment about what undercover work actually costs a person. This one has everything.

00:00 – Intro and hype: Kaya is back, and Marissa and Jason immediately call this the best episode of the season

00:05:52 – Case of the week begins: wealth therapist Dr. Mal (Constance Wu) in session with her very wealthy, very fragile clients

00:19:39 – The murder: Dr. Mal cuts the power, cuts the brake line, and sets Jason's fate before going home to accept a marriage proposal

00:35:55 – The SEC insider trading thread surfaces; Kaya, Elsbeth, and Nikki start connecting the dots around Dr. Mal

00:44:58 – Kaya opens up to Elsbeth about the emotional toll of undercover work and her complicated feelings about Cam

00:54:44 – The therapy notes with mismatched dates — and a very unsubtle dig at a certain billionaire whose SpaceX launch did not go well

01:02:40 – The bust: brake fluid in an opal engagement ring seals Dr. Mal's fate

Florrick/Agos is barely keeping the lights on, and Alicia and Cary are scrambling for new clients while Will at LG is playing offense. Enter Damien Boyle, a new Irish litigator who immediately makes everyone's life more chaotic in the best and worst ways. Meanwhile, Alicia takes on a case involving a professor named Saeed whose colleague's book on spiritual jihad lands him under FBI surveillance and eventually gets him fired, setting up a defamation suit worth fighting for. The episode earns its title when every problem Florrick Agos solves seems to spawn two more, from furniture theft to surprise courtroom opponents. • The Good Wife: Season 5, Episode 8 - The Next Month
    Apr 20 2026

A month has passed since the great Florrick Agos schism, and things are moving fast on both sides of the split. Will Gardner unveils a slick new rebrand — Lockhart Gardner is now LG, complete with word-art logo, because nothing says prestige law firm like the early 2000s — while Diane looks on with barely concealed contempt. Meanwhile, Natalie Flores (America Ferrera) is back in Chicago and needs a favor: her friend Tomas is facing deportation, and a snitch visa might be the only way to keep him in the country. Alicia takes the case and goes full boss mode, but the real hero of this episode is Robin, who channels her inner Kalinda to save the day. And somewhere in the middle of all this chaos, Eli Gold finally figures out that lying to Natalie about his feelings is a lot harder than lying for a living.

  • Elsbeth: Season 3, Episode 16 - Murder He Wrote
    Apr 19 2026

Elsbeth Season 3, Episode 16 — Murder, He Wrote — is packed with elder millennial nostalgia, sharp callbacks, and one of the most satisfying villain takedowns of the season. When celebrated crime novelist Elliot Pope, played by Griffin Dunn (yes, Uncle Nicky from This Is Us), silences a devastating critic with a very literal avalanche of bookshelves, Elsbeth finds herself at a book reading eighteen months later, already suspicious. With Cousin Larry himself, Mark Linn-Baker, as the victim and Didi Conn stepping in as the grieving widow, this episode is a love letter to a very specific generation of TV fans. Throw in the return of Lieutenant Connor, a fax machine plot twist, and Alec officially winning the mayor's race — with a breakup to match — and episode 16 has all the good stuff.

    Apr 13 2026

Marissa and Jason dig into one of the most tension-packed episodes of the season, where a seemingly routine DUI stop for Jeffrey Grant spirals into a full-blown murder investigation and a DNA twist nobody saw coming. Meanwhile, Alicia is back inside Lockhart Gardner — this time holding all the cards in a juicy malpractice standoff — and she is not giving anything away for free. Zach steps up for his sister in a big way, Clark Hayden makes a surprise return that actually gave us feelings, and Owen Cavanaugh casually drops a bomb on Will in an elevator.
