Luna checks into the El Rancho Motel on a lonely stretch of Route 66 outside Kingman, Arizona. It's late October, the desert wind scraping sand against the window. The front desk hands her a key to room 12. But when she opens the door, someone is already inside — a woman with a familiar voice, wearing Luna's own coat. The woman doesn't recognize her.
