  • #2 Danial from Karachi - Pakistan
    Feb 2 2021
In this episode, Danial draws an unexpected Pakistani landscape - a beautiful country with mountains and beaches from where Polo comes as well as some challenges regarding inequalities and politics!

Most of the people speak Urdu, which is a relatively recent language absorbing influences from nearby cultures (Danial showed how it sounds like). Islam is majoritarian but other religions have their share of followers. Cricket is the national sport, the rivalry with India is historic - and the current President, besides being an Oxford PPE alumnus, holds the status of a cricket legend.

Danial also points out some cultural and touristic suggestions - foreigners are specially welcome and well cared there. After listening to him, some stereotypes will be challenged and Pakistan (with emphasis in the second syllable) will turn out as a place you wanna see!
