In this episode, I begin the adoption screening process, starting with the written application. But of course, there is a little more than just filling out a piece of paper to win over a dog adoption organization.

Here, I teach you what to look for when interviewing potential adopters, as well as the expectations when finding the right home for one of your rescued pooches.

Some days, ya just gotta ramble about all that's going on

I hear it all the time from animal rescuers, "Oh, I'm not a people person. I love animals more." Wait until you hear how this statement might come back to "bite" you in the buttocks!

After a brief pause, I'm coming back with a new look, a new format, and a renewed appreciation for life's unexpected detours. While my voice may still sound a little "under the weather," don't worry, this is only a temporary hiccup.

The past couple of weeks have brought more than their fair share of challenges, changes, and moments of reflection. As a result, it's taking me a little time to find my footing and get back to the old Tia. But sometimes healing isn't about rushing forward. Sometimes it's about taking a breath, gathering the pieces, and moving ahead one step at a time.

The good news? I'm still here. And this week, I'll be getting back behind the mic and doing what I love. Thank you for your patience, your support, and for sticking with me through both the sunshine and the storms.

With the week I"ve had, even I have to admit that being human can be challenging. This episode holds nothing back.

I get it. Saving a dog from the street or a shelter and then taking him/her to their new home fills your heart with joy. But there are responsibilities that go along with this. I know, I know.
