In this episode we discuss what it looks like to be job searching in todays fast moving and changing employment market. The jobs themselves are changing along with the hiring process with the advent of AI and human resource tools. The average time to find an early/to mid career professional job is 2-4 months, specialized technical roles 3-5 months, director levels 4-6 months and VP and C level execs 6-9 months. Factoring in rising costs and minimal if any savings for such time lines it does seem like a real wild west market with peoples lives on the line. The Broads wanted to initiate a conversation regarding this with the hopes of shedding some encouragement and mostly to let people under the weight of these timelines to feel seen.

Special guest, Jen Lefforge of the very popular lifestyle and travel YouTube Channel, Joyful Living with Jen Lefforge, joined the Two Broads in this episode where we gathered to talk about our seasons of caregiving for a parent, although the sentiment is targeted to all types of caregivers. This topic hits home for so many right now and the number is growing. There is an inadaquate foundational structure and cultural support in regards to caretaking and this episode hopes to aid anyone going through this season to at least feel seen. We discussed dementia and how that presents extra layers to what is already a time when energy, resources and endurance can run thin. Here's to all the caregivers out there.

In this episode the Broads discuss getting a new perspective and strategy on your physical stuff. The decisions about the importance of all of the stuff we collect that follows us through all seasons of life even when the seasons no longer require the stuff. Swedish Death Cleaning, the act of organizing, downsizing and making a plan for your stuff so that your stuff does not become a burden to those who one day will have to deal with your belongings. There is a heaviness to stuff and a freedom to letting go.

This could be called Lions, Tigers & Bears; OH MY. Our informative researcher friend, Lynne Taylor, AKA, Common Core Diva, is back with the broads for more illumination on the scripts behind the stages. In this episode we get into America's AI Action Plan document, the 2027 budget, data centers & more. It's quite the web that is being woven and it's a lot to try and grasp. It's also documentation of how the reshaping of the world is happening and it's all written down for those who choose to see. Rest assured though friends, nobody delivers audacious and diabolical news quite like these broads as we have many laughs throughout this episode. Afterall, resistance and laughter is an option. Such exciting times we live in!

Somewhat inspired by the passing of Lee Estes, aka; The Man on the Mural, the broads take time in this episode to just appreciate all the regular people out here. By regular, meaning only not famous, not wealthy and not on a stage. While the dark theater of the worlds center stages rage on there are people out here everyday touching the life of another person and holding this crazy world together. Clearly the broads were suppressing some real feels about the grotesque culture's environment for children. Between Epstein files, literature for youth, the children clothing industry, the non stop sexual inuendos in everything and the access the whole world has to our children, there is a war against kids. Innocence, naivete, and natural child development seem on hiatus replaced by "real world", fears, too much information for the sake of over protection, lack of screen monitoring and screens delivered into tiny hands. Replaced by real relationships that foster natural curiousities in due time, outdoor adventures, space and time to be a kid. Buckle up and listen without the young ones around as this is a gloves off salty episode and a cry to leave kids alone!

Sarah shared a story in this episode about an ordeal she and her family were undergoing for a good part of last year and felt the need to use it as a cautionary tale. Property disputes with a neighbor can be very stressful and once a neighbor decides to sue you, it adds a whole other layer to the discomfort. This is a good cast to listen to if you have an easement on your property. She, like a lot of other people are really not informed well at all regarding easements during the purchase of land but they are quite common for legal disputes so heads up if this is you. Of course there is some Two Broad rants thrown in regarding the state of this war we find ourselves in and some other salty takes.

Like a breath of fresh air the Two Broads were graced with special guest Dennis Ferrier for a casual, frank and uplifting conversation focusing on goodness. Dennis is the cheif investigative reporter for FOX 17 out of the Nashville, TN market and produces the Ferrier Files segments, which covers both investigative reports and human interest stories. It was for the latter that we asked Dennis back to the cast to share a glimpse into a big part of his world; finding people doing good things, upholding traditions and keeping community. This cast shines light through all the darkness and it is full of reminders of why we humans are and can be awesome, how community, traditions and values are the benchmarks for healthy families and society.
