Sometimes called America's Sweetheart, Julia Roberts is a true Hollywood icon. Her movies have made us think, laugh and cry. Sometimes all in the same scene.

We have covered a handful of other actors for these types of episodes, including Tom Hanks, Will Ferrell, Tom Cruise and Denzel Washington. So it was about time we covered an actress. To help us, we needed a true movie buff. Jen Iverson was the perfect guest because she knows movies! And if you need proof, she has been to the Sundance Film Festival nine different times! Wow!

We all shared one obvious pick, but after that we covered a lot of ground. rom coms, thrillers, tear-jerking dramas and even some action will be found in the movies we chose to put on our Mount Rushmore lists.

We grew up and spent the first part of our adult lives in an era where you had to watch commercials. There were no DVRs and no streaming. The only way you could skip commercials was to perfectly time out your bathroom break or trip to the kitchen.

For this reason we watched a lot of TV commercials in a time when advertisers were creating very memorable, earworm style jingles to sell their products. Most of the commercial jingles on our lists we still know by heart all these decades later. And we're pretty sure you will too... so sing along!

This week we're debating our Mount Rushmore of Colorful Movies. Which means any movie that has a COLOR in the title. When you stop and think about this topic, you'll see there are hundreds of movies with a color in their title.

We each picked at least one movie that could also be one of our all time favorite movies, regardless of the title. And between us we cover a whole rainbow colors, including white, black, red, blue, green and more.

As Minnesotans we always appreciated Prince for his love of our state. But we also love his music. We've talked about our purple friend a number of times in different episodes, so decided it was time to dedicate a full episode to Prince Rogers Nelson.

We knew we needed a guest for this one, so went with the obvious choice. The biggest Prince fan we know: WCCO-TV's Chief Meteorologist Chris Shaffer, making his second appearance on our show! Chris is such a big fan of Prince, he even owns a replica of the motorcycle Prince rides in the movie Purple Rain. Listen to hear a couple good stories about the bike.

Sadly it's been more than 10 years since we lost Prince. And this episode feels like a nostalgic walk down memory lane, remembering some of the greatest music ever written.

As long as you have a sense of smell, you probably have your own set of favorite smells. They could be related to foods, mother nature, or things you'd find around your house and at your local mall. That's a little hint, because we cover all of those things in our Mount Rushmore lists.

We love food and we love to eat, so this may be tough to believe but between us we only have two foods on our lists of favorite smells. We kind of did it this way on purpose because it would be easy to make a complete Mount Rushmore of food smells alone.

We grew up in the era of album covers. Remember browsing your favorite music store and picking up some new tunes, sometimes based on the cover alone? We do! We wanted to reminisce about those good old days with Blaine Fowler... a good old friend of ours! This is Blaine's second appearance on our podcast. He also joined us for our episode about Sci-Fi Movies.

Blaine is the co-host of the Blaine & Lauren morning show on 96.3 WDVD in Detroit. Like us, he is a big music guy. But unlike us, he has some legit musical ability, playing in his very own rock and roll band. We always knew we would bring Blaine back for a more musical topic, and this turned out to be perfect for him.

Between us we cover albums from the 1960s - 1990s with a big lean towards rock. If you have listened to us that probably is no surprise!

No matter where you grew up, when you grew up and especially if you NEVER grew up (like us) you have fond memories of your favorite Childhood Toys. We decided to take this fun little trip down memory lane and share with you our own personal Mount Rushmore of Childhood Toys.

We made a point to avoid the big game systems like Nintendo, Atari, etc. Those kind of fit into their own category and we did do an episode covering some of those when we discussed our favorite video games. The toys we picked were played with inside, outside, brought to friends houses and often took some serious abuse!

Happy Mother's Day Week! Awhile back we did our Mount Rushmore of TV Dads and this seemed like the perfect week to highlight our favorite TV Moms. When you're doing an episode like this, you need to have a "mom" as a guest right? Of course you do!

We brought in our close friend Kris Boden to help us this week. She's the founder and owner of one of the Twin Cities most successful music booking agencies, 24 SEVEN Events & Marketing. And along with her husband Jimbo, she has raised two kids and is close to becoming an empty nester, so she knows a thing or two about motherhood!

With us all being proud Gen-X members you may think we'd have a lot of overlap. But between the three of us there was only one match. And our picks cover more than 50 years of TV.
