  • isletunes Season Finale LIVE! for Democracy! (Ep. 128)
    Jun 29 2026

    Episode 128 (June 26, 2026)

Season 3 of the only podcast to feature nothing but music from Prince Edward Island artists went out with the biggest bang - a live show at Charlottetown's infamous venue, the Trailside Music Hall! This supersized show was taped live June 23. 2026, and a portion of the proceeds went to The Cooper Institute (cooperinstitute.ca), which advocates for democracy and human rights locally. It's not too late to contribute: you can send e-transfers to amj@isletunes.ca.

Performing live were musicians from the full range of the Island's music scene: PEI Black history bluesman Scott Parsons, Francophone vocalist Paula Arsenault, world-renowned fiddler Richard Wood, Mexican-born guitarist for Lefunk and The Soosh Nico Romero, Mi'kmaq rapper Jay Diss, and Karen Pyra from blues duo Aging Disgracefully.

Accompanying these artists were Paul Broadbent, Brent Chaisson, Luka Hall, Joceline LeBlanc, Sean Mooney, and Em Peters. Host Adam-Michael James even presented a couple of his own songs, including "We WIll Not Comply", a brand-new track written to speak out against fascism.

What a way to end a season! isletunes is all genres. All decades. All-inclusive. And all PEI!
